DCNT Global has commissioned a cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant in Khed City, Chakan, Pune, marking a transformative milestone in India’s clean energy journey. With a robust 3GWh capacity, the fully automated facility is set to begin production in Q3 2025, supporting the nation’s goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 20302.
Strategically located in Maharashtra’s industrial hub, the plant leverages advanced automation technologies to deliver scalable, high-efficiency energy storage solutions. It is designed to meet the rising demands of industries, utilities, and communities, while enabling grid stability and facilitating the integration of solar and wind energy into the national grid.
The facility aligns with flagship initiatives like the National Solar Mission and Green Energy Corridor, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and enhanced energy security. “This plant embodies our commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions and delivering innovative, sustainable solutions,” said Umesh Sahay, Managing Director of DCNT Global.
