Dekulture Enters Offline Retail with 3 Stores in Bangalore

Dekulture Works, a lifestyle brand inspired by India's ancient art and culture has entered the offline retail industry with 3 stores in Bangalore, India. The first studio is located in Phoenix Market City, Whitefield, Bengaluru’s iconic shopping destination while two other stores are in premium localities of Sadashivnagar and HSR Layout. These stores feature over 800 exclusive products in various categories such as Home & Living, Kitchen & Dining, Stationery, Music, and much more. The company plans to expand its presence in Delhi, Mumbai, and other metro cities in the near future and are also in discussions to raise around Rs 100 Cr for its expansion.

From exports of lifestyle artifacts to international events of folk, tribal, and Sufi artists in 25+ countries, it has always been the company's endeavor to create artifacts with craftsmen and present events with artists that have a global appeal. Since 2005, Dekulture has represented Indian art and culture at various forums and international markets such as The United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, The Czech Republic, Greece, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Korea, The United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia amongst others.

“Dekulture was born out of a desire to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern luxury to create the perfect blend of style and quality. While we have been exporting to various countries so far, we have now entered offline stores to leverage our product offering, broaden our customer reach and offer a complete retail experience. We also plan to expand our stores in Delhi, Mumbai, and other metro cities and are in discussions to raise around Rs 100 Cr for our expansion.” said Sambhav Bohra, Managing Director, Dekulture.

“Over the years, Dekulture has created luxurious lifestyle products, which have a symbiotic relationship between the cultural roots of society and the technological advancement of the modern world through time-honored Indian art. All our products are handmade, in-house designed, and made from recycled and earth-friendly materials keeping the highest standards and quality to resonate with customers' modern lifestyles. Our vision is to revitalize authentic crafts and empower artists, craftsmen, and local communities by providing regular earnings at the grass root level,” said Rohit Maroo, founding member and Director, Dekulture.

“Dekulture is a purpose-driven brand. Their vision is to have unique product lines, developed in the most sustainable ways possible while empowering local artisans is inspiring. I strongly believe that the quality of work and effort going into this business is out of genuine love, care, and true emotions to promote ancient Indian art through quality products across the world. It’s truly Made in India for the World” added Monalisa Dhandhania, Partner in the offline retail venture.

In recent years, there has been a sharp rise in customers rethinking the impact of their consumption on the health of the planet as well as their own health. Companies too have become increasingly aware of their action’s impact on the environment and future generations and are looking at adopting sustainable practices. As a result, there has been an increase in the adoption of eco-friendly practices and products, and this trend will gain momentum as we move ahead in 2023 and beyond. This also aligns with the goal of Dekulture to promote sustainably sourced products towards improving social, economic, and environmental well-being of the larger ecosystem.
