Roca Bathroom Products Pvt. Ltd. (RBPPL) had its Board member – ROCA Sanitario, Spain Ferran Vilaclara visiting India along with K.E Ranganathan, Managing Director of Roca Bathroom Products India, and planning for major market growth across India.
Roca Parryware has registered 53% growth in 2021 and in the organized sector which forms about 6000 Cr, ROCA Parrwyare has the dominant position of 32 % share.
In this calendar year, ROCA Parryware has grown by 25% -Jan to March 2022 , which is significantly higher than the other competitors. Ferran along with Ranganathan also announced today their investment plan in India to further capture the growth opportunities in the country.
For the calendar year, Roca has set aside a capex of Rs.130 crore. About Rs.80 crore will be invested on regular manufacturing activities and about Rs.50 crore for setting up a new pipes manufacturing facility in Rajasthan. Machineries from latest European state of the art are planned for the factory. The pipes factory will mainly cater to the ever-growing demands for Roca Parryware products in the North, Expected to be ready for commercial production in two years.
Commenting on the expansion Ferran Vilaclara, Board member of ROCA Sanitario, Spain in his maiden visit to India said that “ India a great country of excellent opportunities and there is great potential available. I am travelling across India for the next two weeks to completely assess the situation firsthand”.
Further he added that “India is one of the key markets for us and the phenomenal growth potential that we have witnessed in the country has further emboldened us to strengthen our position here. Our new investments in India are focused on delivering quality, ensure product affordability and building brand loyalty to deliver long-term growth. We intend to continue investing on the expansion and capacity building for Roca in India. Today, I can confidently say that Roca India is soon going to be the next big export hub from Asia.”
Expressing his views on the company’s India commitment, K E Ranganathan, Managing Director, Roca Bathrooms Product Pvt Ltd. added, “With most of our plants running at full capacity, Roca has been making record productions every month in the Indian market. This is a clear indicator of the overall demand for the brand in India. With this expansion, we will continue to endeavor to widen our reach and provide all of our consumers across the country an enhanced product experience with the best possible blend of form and function”.
K E Ranganathan also added that “Roca India has been exporting limited volumes to markets of America, Germany, Spain, Australia, Poland, Midde East, Turkey and host of other ASEAN countries. Given the uptick in terms of demand from India and also primarily due to Roca customer centric actions, there is a need to increase capacities across 8 factories while also concentrating on upgrading and skilling the existing and new manpower.
Current year, ROCA Parryware is aiming to cross 2000 Cr turnover which is a very significant value achieved through their unique customer centric approach. New markets, thrust on loyalty program, higher production and productivity and thrust on rural markets are primary drivers of growth, while customer centric actions are the major reason for such bullish growth, snatching away share from key competitors”.
Roca plans to invest aggressively in the expansion at Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, across multiple states where there is a huge potential for the brand, opening new avenues for high growth and additional sales for the company. Currently, Roca has a strong footprint of about 200 retail outlets and Parryware has a presence of over 1000 dealer outlets and 23000+ retailers across the country.
Parryware, one of the flagship brands of Roca India, entered the pipes and fittings market in December 2018 in Madurai and expanded its footprint in southern markets including Andaman. Currently, a wide range of pipes and fittings are available in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Bihar and West Bengal.
In India, Roca has 8 production centres with the state of the art technology in - Alwar, Dewas, Perundurai, Sriperumbudur, Ranipet, Bhiwadi, Irungattukottai and Pant Nagar.
