As the first of its kind, Knowledge Center (KC) is a physical space that brings together architects, designers, and construction experts, providing them with a comprehensive ecosystem for collaboration, innovation, and resource-sharing.
The design and construction industry has long faced challenges, including fragmented workflows, time-consuming material selection, scattered vendor networks, and a lack of centralised knowledge-sharing platforms. Independent architects, firms, and students often struggle with limited access to real-time material knowledge, inefficient procurement processes, and bridging the gap between education, manufacturing, and construction sectors.
KC addresses these challenges through a non-disruptive model that enhances industry efficiency without replacing existing systems. By integrating material knowledge, technology, collaboration spaces, and networking opportunities, KC is streamlining workflows, eliminating inefficiencies, and creating an environment where professionals can focus on design and execution rather than operational hurdles.
Ankur Jain, Founder & CEO of Knowledge Center and an architect for nearly two decades, said, "The design and construction industry is a price-sensitive market, but it also needs to be design-conscious. Designers often face challenges in finding the right material, struggling to visit multiple places just to finalise one product. Additionally, gaining comprehensive material knowledge and acquiring practical exposure remain significant hurdles. The Knowledge Center addresses these challenges by providing material knowledge, client meeting spaces, material sourcing, and rendering services, all under one roof to make the designer's journey more efficient and seamless."
Spanned 100,000 square feet across two floors, KC is designed to empower, inspire, and streamline the architecture, design, and construction industry by addressing key challenges and fostering seamless collaboration. The Sample & Catalogue Library features live sample displays and curated materials, eliminating professionals needing to visit multiple vendors for material selection.
KC offers dedicated client meeting spaces, business centres, and co-working zones, enabling architects and designers to work in a structured and productive environment. By bridging gaps between education, manufacturing, and construction, KC streamlines industry processes and provides professionals with real-time material knowledge and insights.
The Networking Café and event spaces are designed to create a dynamic environment where industry experts can connect, form partnerships, and explore growth opportunities. Additionally, KC places a strong emphasis on sustainability and inclusivity by integrating digitised material resources to minimise waste and incorporating dedicated workspaces for women and working parents, fostering a more balanced and progressive work environment.
Ankur added, "As we move forward, we aim to expand the Knowledge Center across key locations in India. We plan to establish one new centre in the first year, followed by three in the second, five in the third, seven in the fourth, and nine in the fifth year. This growth strategy will ensure more professionals nationwide have access to a structured ecosystem."
