JCB Launches Fuel-Efficient NXT 215 LC Excavator

The JCB NXT 215 LC Fuel Master has been designed to reduce fuel consumption by 14% compared to its previous model. It has been tested under demanding working conditions typical of Indian operations, offering customers a reduction in operating costs. This fuel efficiency is achieved through optimized hydraulics using JCB’s Intelliflow Hydraulics technology. The machine provides real-time fuel consumption data via an onboard interface and JCB’s LiveLink remote monitoring system. Improved fuel efficiency can potentially result in savings of Rs. 2.90 lakhs per year. Additionally, an auto engine long idle stop feature helps prevent unnecessary fuel consumption when the engine idles for extended periods.

At the launch event, JCB India’s CEO and Managing Director, Deepak Shetty, noted that the machine has been engineered to enhance customer profitability by reducing fuel consumption by 14%, improving returns in a competitive market.

The new model also offers a 5% increase in productivity and includes a Power Boost function for demanding applications. A quieter engine compartment aims to enhance operator comfort by reducing fatigue. The machine is designed for strong performance in rock breaker applications, and LED lights have been added to improve work area illumination and durability.

Deepak Shetty further stated that the new machine aims to address rising fuel costs through technological improvements. He added that the fuel-saving features align with the government's focus on reducing fossil fuel consumption, which benefits both the economy and the environment.

JCB India produces a variety of excavators, ranging from 1 tonne to 38 tonnes. To date, more than 45,000 JCB tracked excavators have been built in India, used by leading infrastructure companies on nationally significant projects. These machines have contributed to the accelerated pace of infrastructure development as India continues to grow as a global economy.
