This series of lights from the Sugar Collection draws inspiration from our emotional connection with food. Almost everyone has some nostalgic memory of Indian desserts and our indigenous candy, and the collection aims to explore the textures and colours of the foodscape to design lighting. The collection employs blown glass, hand blown by Indian and Czech glassblowers, and handmade ceramic forms juxtaposed with industrial metal. The collection comprises a series of customizable hanging, standing, wall, and ceiling flush-mount fittings, which can be used across various design aesthetics by simply customizing the finishes.
The Indian Bullseye candy-inspired glass forms the focal point of this series. The hand-blown glass created with Czech glass blowers mimics the Bullseye mint candy to create a series of customizable fittings. Ombre has also been introduced to match the candy inspiration. Each piece in the range exhibits Arjun Rathi Designs’ impeccable artistry and inventive forms.
The designs have been kept minimalist which compliments modern homes and sensibilities. An interesting play of colors and designs makes it edgy, sophisticated, and fun.
