Keyaan Distilleries Pvt Ltd inaugurated its 300 KLPD grain-based distillery, scalable up to 500 KLPD, in the presence of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.
Praj Industries Ltd, an industrial biotechnology company, has designed, engineered, and commissioned the distillery. Built across 30 acres, the facility uses broken rice and corn as feedstock to produce fuel ethanol and rectified spirit for medicinal use. The plant is expected to generate over 1,200 direct and indirect jobs, create reliable demand for local grains, and contribute significantly to the region’s clean energy and rural economy.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Promoting energy security, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to foreign exchange savings through import substitution. This project sets the stage for advanced green fuels like Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and is a perfect example of industry and agriculture coming together for the state’s progress. Such initiatives support our vision of a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh and Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
Vinay Kumar Singh, Director of Keyaan Distilleries Pvt Ltd, said, “This facility reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability, operational excellence, and inclusive development. We are proud to be a part of Uttar Pradesh’s growth story and to collaborate with Praj Industries, whose world-class expertise helped us bring this vision to life.”
