Shree Cement inaugurated a grinding unit in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, with an impressive annual capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). This greenfield project, which cost Rs 850 crore, is set to generate over 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The unit’s strategic location near established railway infrastructure ensures cost-effective transportation of raw materials from Rajasthan. Additionally, the plant will use road and rail networks for cement dispatch.
A noteworthy feature of this facility is its collaboration with the nearby Jawaharpur Thermal Power Plant. The plant will use the thermal power plant’s 100% fly ash waste, approximately 5,000 tonnes per day, to optimise operational efficiency and promote sustainable practices.
Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director of Shree Cement, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting the rapid infrastructure and housing growth in Uttar Pradesh, underscoring their role in contributing to the state’s development. Shree Cement is one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, known for its high-quality products and sustainable business practices. The company has grown into a major player in the Indian cement industry, with a significant presence in domestic and international markets.
