Shyam Metalics announced its expansion into the roofing segment with the launch of SEL Tiger Roofing Sheets. This strategic addition reinforces the company's commitment to innovation and diversification, catering to the evolving needs of the construction and infrastructure sectors.
The introduction of SEL Tiger Roofing Sheets aligns with Shyam Metalics' Greenfield Cold Rolling Mill expansion in Jamuria, West Bengal. This facility produces high-quality GI/GL coils and Pre-Painted Galvalume Coils (PPGL), which form the foundation of durable and aesthetically superior roofing solutions.
Developed under Shyam Metalics Flat Products Pvt Ltd with a total CAPEX investment of Rs 603 crore, this PLI-approved project spans 55 acres and is structured in two phases. Phase I, which commenced operations in September 2024, has an initial production capacity of 2,50,000 tons, with Phase II adding another 1,50,000 tons, bringing the total capacity to 4,00,000 tons.
Under the SEL Tiger Roofing Sheets brand, Shyam Metalics introduces a diverse range of high-performance roofing solutions, including SEL TIGER Royale – Ultra-premium Color Coated Sheets offering superior durability and aesthetics. SEL TIGER ELITE – Premium Color Coated Sheets designed for enhanced performance. SEL TIGER AZURE – Galvalume Wider Sheets for increased strength and corrosion resistance. SEL TIGER ALFA – Galvalume Narrow Sheets, a cost-effective yet high-quality roofing solution.
