Surya Roshni has been awarded Rs81.47 crore contract by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as part of BPCL’s city gas distribution (CGD) initiative across India. This agreement highlights Surya Roshni’s growing role in India’s energy infrastructure sector.
Under the contract, Surya Roshni will supply API 5L PSL2 LPE-coated line pipes, with diameters ranging from 4 inches to 16 inches. These pipes, coated with three-layer polyethylene (LPE), are designed to meet the stringent requirements for durability and efficiency in gas transportation.
The supply timeline for this project is set at 16 weeks, ensuring timely implementation of BPCL’s CGD initiatives aimed at expanding India’s gas distribution network. This project aligns with the government’s focus on increasing natural gas usage as part of a cleaner energy strategy.
