UltraTech Cement completed key initiatives to enhance efficiency and expand its production capacity. As part of its ongoing capacity expansion programs, the company has identified several opportunities for debottlenecking. These efforts have significantly increased the company's cement production capacity, amounting to an additional 1.2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
The debottlenecking initiatives have been completed at the following units: the Integrated Unit at Hirmi, Chhattisgarh, which has increased its capacity by 0.8 mtpa, and the Grinding Unit at Roorkee, Uttarakhand, which has enhanced its capacity by 0.4 mtpa.
With these enhancements, UltraTech Cement's total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity now stands at 178.86 mtpa. In addition, the company's overseas capacity of 5.4 mtpa brings its global cement production capacity to 184.26 mtpa.
This strategic move aligns with UltraTech's commitment to scaling up operations and meeting the growing demand for cement in domestic and international markets. The debottlenecking initiatives support the company's current order book and position it for sustained growth by enabling it to capitalise on emerging opportunities in the global infrastructure sector.
