91Squarefeet, a leading commercial fit-out company backed by Y Combinator and Stellaris Venture Partners, has announced its plans to design and build 500 commercial fit-outs by 2024. The new-age fit-out startup is poised to accelerate its trajectory and set its sights on building 40% eco-friendly offices and outlets. The goal for this year is to develop capabilities and cater to the tech and global companies planning to open their GCCs or office space in India. The company has delivered 200 office spaces and 100 outlets in 2023 across pan India spanning key cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, etc.

91Squarefeet has rapidly expanded its footprint in the industry, helping construct 1 million sq ft of commercial spaces in FY 2023, with its new target being to construct 2.5 million sq ft of commercial spaces. Some of the office spaces that the Y Combinator-backed startup has collaborated with include VLCC, ION Consulting, TableSpace, HDFC Bank, Kotak, Cultfit, Decathlon, Bluestone, Infra Market, and many more. 91Squarefeet, in the upcoming year, plans to expand into data centers category as well by building deep capability around mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design of commercial buildings. The new-age fit-out startup's strategic expansion into key cities such as Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Chennai, with a significant investment of 5 crore INR for each city, has laid the foundation for its continued success. These factors have contributed to the current strong financial performance, marking a remarkable 300% year-on-year growth.

91squarefeet witnessed a 20% surge in demand for sustainable offices last fiscal year, the company is now focused on achieving its ambitious target of constructing 40% eco-friendly Indian offices with cost-effective technologies and energy-saving, such as smart lighting, IOT Devices, HVAC systems (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and Smart Furniture, etc.

Amit Bansal, CEO and Co-founder of 91Squarefeet states, "There is major disparity around prices and project quality of commercial fit-outs. That has led to a lack of trust and has been a major reason why no big player has attempted to organize this market. We are on a mission to make a brand in commercial fit-outs that stand for quality at reasonable prices."

In response to the growing trend towards sustainability, Amit highlighted, "We are planning to build more sustainable places as the demand for sustainable office spaces is on the rise. 40% of our queries from big companies are on sustainable office spaces."

91Squarefeet also announced earlier to strengthen its workforce by hiring over 500 project managers and 100 architects from top institutions in India. This move ensures the highest standards of quality and innovation while demonstrating the company's commitment to delivering superior projects. Leveraging advanced AI technology, it has digitized the construction process, accelerating it by 50% and reducing project costs. With this expansion plan, the company aims to not only meet the rising demand in the Indian commercial ecosystem but also position itself as the most efficient fit-out contractor, combining technology with sustainability.
