APL Apollo Tubes Sales Volume Up By 41% YoY

APL Apollo Tubes Limited headquartered in Delhi NCR operates 10 manufacturing facilities with a total capacity of 2.6 million tons with a pan-India presence announced its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2022.

The financial performance highlights where the sales volume was up by 41% YoY to 602k tons. The revenue expanded by 29% YoY to Rs39.7bn. The EBITDA increased by 4% to Rs2.3bn.  EBITDA per ton was Rs3,850 (-26% YoY). The interest cost increased by 27% to Rs136mn. The net profit increased by 3% to Rs1.5bn. 

Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, APL Apollo, comments in Q2FY23 results, “The Company registered sales volume of 602,283 Ton in Q2FY23. This is the highest quarterly sales volume reported by the company. The sales volume for H1FY23 was 1,025,071 Ton compared to 800,511 Ton last year. In H2FY23, the sales volume should get a further boost from the commissioning and ramp-up of the New Raipur plant. In Q2FY23, the sales mix was slightly weak which depressed EBITDA spreads. However, we expect sales mix to improve in coming quarters with the ramp-up of new Raipur plant.”
