CREDAI Bhubaneswar Seeks On-site Realty Workers Vaccination
The CREDAI Bhubaneswar Foundation sought the State Government’s support to arrange for group vaccination for the on-site workers engaged in the real estate industry. In a letter to Labour Commissioner, Government of Odisha Dr N Thirumala Naik, the CREDAI Bhubaneswar, requested for his guidance in initiating this drive. Real estate is a key sector in India is contributing a lion’s share of the GDP and also is one of the largest recruiters of manpower. There are thousands of workers presently employed under different construction projects within the State capital. “We are trying for group vaccination of the onsite workers at the earliest to prevent these workers from leaving work and rushing home in panic like exodus seen in major cities like New Delhi and Mumbai. Recently, the CM of Odisha had announced free Covid vaccination for all within the State. We urged our State Government to kindly take necessary action and support in this regard,” said CREDAI Bhubaneswar Foundation president Kanitilal Patel.
