A home in the Californian desert that looks to be from another galaxy has hit the market. Called Bonita Domes, the five-bedroom, three-bathroom abode at Joshua Tree National Park can only be described as an extraterrestrial dome house with its unique shape.

"This exquisite property will leave you feeling a sense of magic, almost as though you have just been transported to an extraterrestrial planet," agent James Bianco of Coldwell Banker Realty says on the listing. According to Visit Greater Palm Springs, the sustainable structure consists of "cement and a mixture of earth cement that has 18 inches of thickness".

A singular dome also contains a studio living quarter, two additional sleeping zones and a communal bath. Should the buyer wish to entertain, they can make use of the outdoor kitchen and barbecue, fire pit and outdoor pool.

There is also a temple that could be transformed into a meditation or yoga space. With homelessness high, California tries an unorthodox solution: Tiny house villages. Across California and the western U.S., more cities are erecting tiny home villages for unhoused people to quickly get people indoors and connect them to basic resources like electricity.
