North Dallas Mansion Hits Market For $16.9 Million
A Spanish Colonial-style home built in 1934, along with a newly built annex, has been listed in Highland Park, Texas, for $16.9 million. The 5,238-square-foot main home combined with the 4,386-square-foot annex together amass 10,000 square feet of livable space. Located within the coveted Highland Park neighborhood, the north Dallas property is owned by a Texas power couple, Trevor and Melissa Fetter. Mr. Fetter is the outgoing president and CEO of Tenet Healthcare, while Ms. Fetter was once elected chairman of the Dallas Museum of Art. The Fetters purchased the home in 2013 under a trust, according to PropertyShark records, but the sale price was not listed. The Fetters did not immediately respond to a request for comment. "They spent two years renovating the house, with a primary goal to keep the historic footprint of the house," said Joan Eleazer of Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty, the agent handling the sale. Ms. Eleazer explained that the home was built by a family who had recently traveled to Spain and Portugal who used the villas they saw on their journey as inspiration for it. The Fetters replaced all floors, windows, walls and ceilings, but maintained the vision set forth by the original builder, she said. The home is featured in two design books, "D. Porthault: The Art of Luxury Linens" by Brian Coleman and "Veranda: Inspired by Color" by Clinton Smith.
