The Skyline Collection, an exclusive collection of 26 one, two and three-bedroom apartments by Barratt London, which occupy the top four floors at its Bermondsey Heights development in London’s Zone 2, has now launched. Designed by award-winning architects dMFK, this latest release of homes at the landmark 26-storey scheme, located south of the River Thames, offers buyers and investors an exciting opportunity to buy a home with some of the best panoramic views of London.

Set across floors 23-26, The Skyline Collection embodies next-level London living. These exclusive homes will offer an enhanced specification, a balcony or winter garden and spectacular views of some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including The Shard, Canary Wharf and the London Eye. What’s more, according to latest forecasts by JLL, Bermondsey is expected to see house prices increase by around 25% over the next five years, with rental values growing by 16%.

Ranging from 462 sq ft to 942 sq ft, the open plan design of the homes provides a seamless flow from the kitchen to the dining and living areas; many of the three-bedroom homes also benefit from a larger balcony. The individually-designed kitchens feature Silestone worktops, sleek cabinetry and integrated appliances. Each of the two- and three-bedroom apartments benefits from the addition of a contemporary en suite bathroom or shower room, with beautifully tiled walls and floors. Many of the principal bedrooms benefit from large floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy the views with direct access to the balcony or winter garden.

Each home also has access to a residents’ roof terrace and communal podium gardens. For added convenience, a residents’ concierge service will help relieve the stresses of a fast-paced city lifestyle.

New homes at Bermondsey Heights will also benefit from energy saving and sustainability measures, such as efficient kitchen appliances and water taps, low energy lighting, highly insulated building fabric, a carbon efficient centralised heating system, green and blue roofs, solar panels, and air source heat pumps, which provide 70% of the development’s energy.

Bermondsey is one of the capital’s most fashionable and creative districts in London and ideally located in the Borough of Southwark within easy reach of some of the capital’s top destinations, including Tower Bridge, The Shard, Borough Market and Bermondsey Street. Also nearby is Peckham, with its art, music, and foodie scene, and thriving mix of independent shops, cafés, and restaurants, plus the Old Kent Road regeneration zone with the proposed Bakerloo Line extension.

Once complete, Bermondsey Heights will become part of ambitious plans for the wider area include a 30-acre (12.1ha) development project seeking to create up to 3,500 homes, 13 new public spaces, a thriving business district with office space, workshops, cafés and restaurants, a creative and digital hub and local retail, as well as a state-of-the-art sports complex and arena.

The area is already well connected, with numerous bus services nearby, and South Bermondsey railway station only a 10-minute walk away. From here it’s just one stop to the major travel hub of London Bridge station, which offers a variety of National Rail services plus Jubilee and Northern line connections, linking with King’s Cross, Brighton and the South Coast, East Anglia, the North of England and Scotland. What’s more, the upcoming Surrey Canal overground station, which is set to open in 2025, will provide additional transport routes into central London.

Stuart Leslie, Director of Sales & Marketing at Barratt International, comments: “Bermondsey is one of South London’s hidden gems; a fashionable and dynamic neighbourhood right on the edge of central London.

“In SE1, where Bermondsey Heights is located, prices have outperformed many parts of Prime Central London as a result of the ongoing uplift in amenities, commercial and cultural offerings. Homes in regeneration areas always increase in value faster than other parts of the city and buying off-plan offers the chance to lock in today’s prices offering more opportunities for capital growth” Stuart adds.   Prices at The Skyline Collection start from £499,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
