In an exclusive interview with Girish Shah, CMO, Godrej Properties, who won Themed project of the year from Realty Plus How do you feel after winning the Realty Plus Award? We are very happy to have won 5 separate awards at the Realty Plus Awards 2015. It is truly a good achievement. Has it raised the bar of expectation from you for the future? At Godrej Properties, we are always looking to raise the bar higher, with these awards we feel encouraged. We aspire to be among the nation’s top 3 real estate companies, while continuing to be the most trusted name in the industry. Do you think the jury process was transparent? Yes, we did think there was a rigorous screening process for the awards and we are glad to be part of this award forum. Do you think social media helps in connecting with the end user? We think for us today, social media is the preferred mechanism to connect with both individuals and corporate entities. We use a two-pronged approach to social media. First, we use it to build communities of like-minded individuals, without an overt brand presence. This allows for a lot of creative flexibility and the ability to co-create products by crowd-sourcing trends and preferences. Our on-ground consumer engagement activities are complemented by contests run on social media platforms- this not only build a positive association but also increasingly creates engagement opportunities with key prospective customers. Our advanced online listening tools crawl the web to help us understand conversations about industry, brands and ourselves, allowing for both personal and one-to-many responses to comments and queries in the online space. What has been the turning point of your career? After I joined Godrej Properties. It has been an amazing journey so far, I witness myself and the team growing with the company. What is the USP of your company? We deliver superior value to all stakeholders through extraordinary and imaginative spaces created out of deep customer focus and insight.
