Pune-based senior citizen and independent filmmaker Suresh K. Goswami and his wife Savita Goswami have lodged a complaint with Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) against Lavasa Corporation Limited for delay in possession of a flat by over five years at Lavasa hill station.

The homebuyer has alleged that they had registered two studio apartments at the Lavasa Corporation Limited at Dasve on May 2010 with the assurance from the developers that they would hand over the apartment within 24 months from the date of booking. The possession is overdue since the last five years. He said that they had made 90 per cent of the scheduled payments to the corporation.

MahaRERA authorities, in a reply to Goswami's complaint, have requested for copies of the complaint along with documents of their agreement within the next 45 days. They have further stated that the senior citizens would have to submit hard copies along with declaration and the date of disposal of the case will be within 60 days.
