Knight Frank India Appoints Abhijit Das As Senior Director - East
Knight Frank India announced the appointment of Abhijit Das as Senior Director - East. Abhijit will be leading the company’s business in the eastern region. He will be based in Kolkata. Knight Frank India’s leadership in the eastern region will get a boost with the appointment of Abhijit Das, an industry stalwart as he takes over the reign. Based in Kolkata, Abhijit will provide strategic leadership to a team of well-experienced real estate experts in the region. Knight Frank started its Kolkata operations in 2011 and since then has worked on some marquee deals in the region. Speaking on this appointment, Shishir Baijal, Chairman & Managing Director said, “Kolkata is the most important real estate destination in eastern India, and therefore it is imperative for us to have strong leadership in the region. Abhijit Das a veteran with close to 30 years of experience, is the right addition to our strong team in the region. We expect the company to reach greater heights with his appointment." Abhijit has previously led companies like JLL and Cushman & Wakefield, growing their commercial transactions business and generating new business for their facilities management, project management including design and build, research, and consulting verticals. In terms of real estate transactions, Abhijit specialises in land deals, joint ventures and fund raising, and large format sell and lease transactions in commercial and retail assets. He also has hands-on experience in residential and hospitality businesses.
