Lodha to Develop Tallest Warehouse in India for Skechers

Lodha, closed a built-to-suit transaction with Skechers, a leading global lifestyle and athletic footwear and apparel brand, to develop 1.1M sq. ft. at National Distribution Centre (NDC) at Lodha Industrial and Logistics Park, Palava. The state-of-the-art logistics centre will be the second largest NDC for Skechers in Asia and is expected to be the tallest warehouse in India, constructed on a single plinth and rising to a height of 17m at the eaves.

The collaboration further establishes Lodha Industrial and Logistics Park (LILP) as Mumbai’s preferred logistics and industrial hub in the MMR region, and will allow the multi-billion dollar brand to serve its growing business in India as well as efficiently expand in the coming years. The development will be undertaken by Palava Induslogic 2, where Lodha and an affiliate of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (“MSREI”) have partnered for developing a warehouse park spread across 72 acres land parcel. The new Skechers Distribution Centre will be undertaken in two phases, with the first phase being delivered in mid-2023. It is being designed to be an IGBC Platinum pre-certified building and will also be the first warehouse building in Western India to have FM1 super flat flooring.
