Maharashtra govt approves 13-storey tower for judges in Lands End of Malabar Hill
The Maharashtra government has given an administrative approval for constructing a 13-storey tower in Lands End of Malabar Hill area at cost of Rs 67 crore. “The building will have 24 flats. The final plan for the building is being worked by our architect Madhavi Jadhav,'' said executive engineer V Joshi of Chembur division. Some of the judges stay in Sarang building in Jagannath Bhosale road near Mantralaya and some in Bungalows at Malabar Hill. A senior PWD officer said that the issue of the new residential towers at Lands End was discussed in great detail in a meeting held between the state government and the High Court establishment last week. The plan of shifting the Bombay High Court to Bandra government colony and creating residential quarters at Bandra for judges and staff was also discussed in the meeting.
