RLDA Invites Bids for Leasing Railway Land at Kota Rajasthan

Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for commercial development on a vacant plot of land measuring 2128 sqm. at the Kota Junction near existing PF No 1 Cycle Stand, Kota Division, West Central Railway, Kota-Rajasthan. The Proposed land parcel will be leased out for 45 years and the reserved price of the land is INR 8.20 Crore.

The online pre-bid meeting was conducted on June 16, 2023, at 12:30 hrs and many local and National Level Developers participated in this pre-bid meeting and showed keen interest. The last date for submission of e-bid is August 1, 2023, up to 15:00 hrs.

The access of this site is from Circulating area of Kota Railway Station which is at present 18m wide and is proposed to be widened up to 22m, it is bounded by Railway Colony in the north and Kota Jn. in the east, Circulating Area of Kota Jn in the south and Bhimganj Mandi Commercial & Residential area in the west.

Strategically located near Kota Railway Junction, the highly sought-after land parcel has tremendous economic potential and is poised for major commercial development in the near future. As a focal point of trade and commerce, the area provides unparalleled connectivity with all regions of Kota. The region offers extensive local public transport facilities which promises excellent RoI for prospective developers. Additionally, as the land is earmarked to be part of the RLDA integrated ecosystem, developers will be able to leverage the auxiliary commercial influx in the region.

Vice Chairman, RLDA Shri. Ved Parkash Dudeja said, “With diverse demographics, Kota is a hub of commercial activity. Every year the city welcomes hundreds of Engineering and Medical college aspirants, who migrate to the city from across the country. The commercial development of the land will make it more convenient for students and their families to realize their dreams. Additionally, as we develop the land in and around Kota, we are confident that tourism will be bolstered in the region as more and more people visit Kota to partake in the rich cultural heritage of the city”.

Located 240 kms from Jaipur, Kota is situated on the banks of the Chambal River. With a population of 1.2 million, this urban agglomerate is the third most populous city in Rajasthan.
