RLDA Invites Tender for Leasing Land Parcel at Raichur Railway Land

Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for leasing out a 6596 Sqm land parcel at Raichur along the Station Road for commercial development. 

The reserve price of the land is INR 11.04 crores for a lease period of 45 years with a basic FSI of 1.75. It falls under the Raichur Municipal Corporation at just 250 meters from Raichur Junction. The last date for submission of e-Bids is 26.08.2022.

Commenting on the Raichur land parcel Ved Parkash Dudeja, Vice Chairman, RLDA said “Strategically located near to railway station, the land parcel has immense potential for developing it as a commercial hub.  Raichur is the fourth busiest railway station in Karnataka after Bangalore City Junction, Yesvantpur Junction and Hubli Junction. 

The proximity of the land parcel to the station will facilitate commercial development with promising future prospects thus supporting the local economy”  Raichur, located between Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers, is the headquarters of Raichur district. It is located 409 km from the state capital, Bangalore.

Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is a statutory authority under the Ministry of Railways for the development of Railway land. It has four key mandates as a part of its development plan, namely leasing commercial sites, colony redevelopment, station redevelopment, and multi-functional complexes.

During current Financial Year, RLDA has leased out Ten sites at Liluah (Howrah), Nizamabad (Telangana), Waltax Road (Chennai), Egmore (Chennai), Bhopal (MP), Ludhiana (Punjab), Abu Road (Rajasthan), Chaupla Bareilly, Varanasi and Gorakhpur in UP for a cumulative lease premium of Rs. 726 Crore. In addition, Railway assets valuing approx. Rs. 163 Crore shall be developed in Bhopal, Egmore (Chennai), Bareilly and Ludhiana Railway Colonies.
