Prithvi Shaw, an Indian cricketer, has paid Rs 10.5 crore for a premium residential property in Mumbai's Bandra reclamation. The apartment, which has a carpet area of 2,209 square feet and a terrace of 1,654 square feet, is located on the eighth story of the residential tower 81 Aureate.

Shaw will also get exclusive access to three parking spaces as part of the transaction. The buyer paid Rs 52.50 lakh in stamp duty for the transaction, which took place on March 31 and was registered on April 28. The 22-year-old batsman bought the apartment from the project's developers, Pyramid Developers and Ultra Lifespace.

Shaw led the Indian Under-19 cricket side to victory in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in February 2018. In the same year, he was bought for Rs. 1.2 crores at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions by Delhi Daredevils. He now plays IPL cricket for Delhi Capitals and domestic cricket for Mumbai Indians.

The sale of Shaw's apartment took place immediately before the Maharashtra government raised the ready reckoner and stamp duty rates. With effect from April 1, the Maharashtra state government has announced a 5% increase in ready reckoner rates for properties across the state.
