Nova By Saint Gobain Partners With Micelio

NOVA, the venture arm of Saint-Gobain, announces its collaboration with Micelio to amplify its presence within the Indian startup landscape. NOVA co-hosted the Micelio Community Meetup, held at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore with the objective to foster innovation and drive sustainability in the mobility sector.

Founded in 2006, NOVA by Saint-Gobain has identified, collaborated, and established partnerships with over 600+ businesses with a focus on building relationships with startups worldwide that align closely with Saint-Gobain’s vision. Saint-Gobain plans to host three Startup Café events, each focusing on mobility, light and sustainable construction. The platform provides an opportunity for startups to network with the NOVA-Saint-Gobain team and other venture capitalists attending the event. 

Speaking on the occasion, B. Santhanam, CEO, APAC and India, Saint-Gobain said, “The Mobility community Meetup in partnership with Micelio, serves as a platform to drive innovative and inspiring conversations with leaders in the startup community, specifically in the mobility sector. This event presents an opportunity for Saint-Gobain’s NOVA ventures to engage in purposeful connections and establish long-term partnerships with the startup players. Together, we aim to drive our shared commitment to sustainable innovation.”

The event agenda included networking sessions for startups and venture capitalists, facilitating valuable interactions and potential partnerships. Basma Kharrat, Vice President - External Venturing, NOVA, spoke about driving sustainable futures and Saint-Gobain's efforts for clean mobility in India. Anand Subramaniam, Deputy General Manager at ARAI, discussed empowering India's future through battery innovation and digital twin technology. The event concluded with a panel discussion moderated by Dimpy Suneja, Consultant at RMI India, focusing on circular economy concepts for battery materials along with eminent panelists from Transition VC, Turno, and The Energy Company.
