ANJ Group Appoints Dr Ashfaq Ul Ahad as Chief People Officer

ANJ Group, a leading design and build firm in India, has appointed Dr Ashfaq Ul Ahad as Chief People Officer (CPO). His appointment underscores ANJ’s commitment to fostering inspiring workplaces and a culture where people thrive.

With over 25 years of cross-sector experience in hospitality, banking, technology, telecom, logistics, and education, Dr Ul Ahad has led HR functions at ICICI Bank, GE, Hutchison, and Syntel. He also played a pivotal role in capability development for Delhivery’s 75,000-strong workforce and co-founded Talent Edge Academy and CollegeDekho Academy to bridge education-employability gaps.

At ANJ, Dr Ul Ahad will lead the People & Culture agenda, focusing on leadership development, employee engagement, organisational transformation, and cultivating a workplace that sparks creativity and innovation.

“ANJ for me is a Blue Ocean,” said Dr Ul Ahad. “I’m joining at a time when the organisation is shaping the future of workspaces in India. My task is to help move ANJ from a challenger to a leader while creating meaningful impact for customers, employees, and communities.”

His appointment marks a strategic move as ANJ continues to scale its design and manufacturing capabilities while embedding a people-first ethos across its operations.
