Grihum Housing Finance has announced the appointment of Arjun Chowdhry as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, signaling a strategic leadership shift in the housing finance sector. With over three decades of experience in consumer banking, Chowdhry is expected to steer Grihum’s next phase of growth, innovation, and customer-centric transformation.
Prior to this role, Chowdhry served as Group Executive at Axis Bank, overseeing Affluent Banking, NRI services, cards, and payments. His tenure was marked by the expansion of digital and retail banking capabilities. He also spent 29 years at Citi India, where he held multiple senior roles including Country Head of Consumer Bank and MD & Business Head for Payments, Credit Cards & Unsecured Loans. At Citi, he led key transformation initiatives, forged strategic partnerships, and scaled lending and payments portfolios.
His career spans pivotal roles such as COO & NRI Business Head, Business Head – Citi at Work & Investment Products, and Business Manager – Partnerships & Alliances. Chowdhry holds a PGDM in Finance and Marketing from IIM Bangalore.
With this appointment, Grihum Housing Finance aims to strengthen its market footprint and deepen its focus on customer experience, digital innovation, and sustainable growth in India’s evolving housing finance landscape.
