Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd., India’s trusted building materials company, has announced the launch of Nuvoco Concreto Tri Shield, a durability-driven Ready-Mix Concrete designed to enhance structural longevity and resilience. Part of the flagship Nuvoco Concreto portfolio, the product offers a three-in-one durability solution to protect structures against harsh environmental exposures across India.
Developed to counter the adverse effects of high chloride levels in borewell water and coastal air, rapid carbonation from urban pollution, and sulphate-rich soil and groundwater, Concreto Tri Shield addresses key factors that accelerate material degradation and compromise long-term durability.
The product integrates three defence mechanisms:

Chloride Shield: Reduces chloride penetration by 50% compared to standard concrete, protecting reinforcement steel from corrosion.

Carbonation Shield: Slows carbonation, maintaining steel passivity and achieving 50% lower carbonation depth.

Sulphate Shield: Resists sulphate-induced expansion and cracking, delivering 50% reduction in sulphate expansion.
Together, these mechanisms extend the service life of structures by 50% compared to standard concrete. Performance has been validated through Nuvoco’s Construction Development and Innovation Centre (CDIC), accredited by NABL and aligned with IS and ASTM durability standards, alongside advanced simulation modelling.
