PGP Glass Pvt. Ltd. has announced the appointment of Santosh Rai as Global Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO), a strategic leadership role that will oversee the company’s digital and technology roadmap across global operations.
In this position, Rai will lead large-scale transformation initiatives, align technology strategy with business growth priorities, and drive innovation to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness. With over two decades of experience, he is known for delivering measurable business impact through IT modernization, governance frameworks, and disciplined budget management across complex, multi-location enterprises.
Prior to joining PGP Glass, Rai spent seven years at Asahi India Glass Limited (AIS), where he served as Chief Information Officer and earlier as Group Head – Information Technology. At AIS, he led enterprise-wide digital transformation, data governance programs, and technology-led agility initiatives.
His career spans senior leadership roles at International Tractors Limited (Sonalika Group), Vardhman Textiles, Volkswagen India, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (Volvo–Eicher JV), AMW Motors Ltd., and AVTEC. Across these organisations, Rai has spearheaded SAP transformations, greenfield IT setups, data center commissioning, cybersecurity standards implementation, and enterprise architecture modernization.
