Bajel Projects Limited has announced a proposed investment of Rs170 crore to boost galvanization and manufacturing capacity at its Ranjangaon facility in Maharashtra. This expansion, aligned with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, will more than double the plant’s output from 40,000 to over 100,000 metric tons per annum—positioning Bajel to meet surging demand in the power transmission sector.
The company also plans to enhance production across key categories including transmission towers, monopoles, lighting towers, and high masts. The expansion will be executed in a phased manner between Q4 FY26 and Q4 FY27, funded through internal accruals and debt. With current utilization at 98%, the move is both strategic and timely.
The Bhumi Pujan ceremony for the new galvanizing unit was held on July 10, 2025, at Ranjangaon, attended by Chairman Mr. Shekhar Bajaj, Bajel leadership, and employees. Reflecting on the plant’s early beginnings and its evolving role in Bajel’s EPC business, Mr. Bajaj emphasized a renewed focus on goal orientation and operational scale, underscoring the late Shri Anant Bajaj’s enduring legacy in shaping the plant’s growth.
Mr. Rajesh Ganesh, MD and CEO of Bajel Projects Limited, said, “The significant capacity expansion reflects our steadfast adherence to the 'Make in India' vision. By more than doubling our galvanization output, we are not only bolstering our operational efficiency and meeting the surging demand in the power transmission market but also solidifying our contribution to the nation's self-reliance. This investment also highlights our confidence in the robust growth trajectory of the Indian economy and our dedication to delivering world-class products and services.”
The upgrade will allow Bajel to meet its growing captive demand and unlock new domestic and export opportunities. As urbanisation, infrastructure investment, and renewable energy integration reshape the global transmission market, Bajel’s increased capacity will reinforce its standing as a strategic player in the sector.
