Suzlon Turbine achieves 42 per cent PLF

Renewable energy player Suzlon Group today said its 2.1 mw wind turbine generator has achieved 42 per cent plant load factor (PLF) or capacity utilisation in Kutch, Gujarat. "S111 120m 2.1 mw wind turbine generator has achieved 42 per cent PLF in its first 12 months of operation at Jamanwada site in Kutch district of Gujarat. The prototype was commissioned in March 2016," Suzlon said in a statement. According to the statement, the PLF is 20 per cent higher than the one achieved by another generator in its first 12 months at the same location. "The S111 120m 2.1 mw wind turbine is a game changer in the industry... With its reduced levelised cost of energy (LCoE), cost effective design and superior performance, it will unlock unviable sites and set new benchmarks in the Indian wind industry," said J P Chalasani, Group CEO, Suzlon Group, in the statement. Capillary Technologies today said it has appointed Tony Wang director of technology at Capillary in China. The Bengaluru-based company is all geared up to commence its first 10-member technology team outside India. Wang comes with over 20 years of experience and has previously worked with leading global firms like Bertelsmann, Oracle, Autodesk, Arvato Services and the like. "Tonys appointment is of great strategic importance to us at Capillary. After India, this will be our second development centre which will focus entirely on the local market," Aneesh Reddy, CEO and co-founder, Capillary Technologies said. The company is also ramping up its sales and account management teams and customer success teams across India, China, South-East Asia, Europe, West Asia and Africa. Tata Capital in association with Habitat for Humanity India has built 40 new homes that have been delivered to low- income aboriginals in Dahanu, Maharashtra.
