In a move to further support Emirati citizens, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, approved a substantial housing benefits package worth AED 6.75 billion. The package will benefit 4,356 Emiratis across the emirate, reinforcing the leadership’s commitment to improving citizens' quality of life.
The housing benefits package includes AED 5.08 billion in housing loans for 3,172 citizens, AED 1.585 billion in land grants and ready-built homes for 1,100 people, and exemptions from housing loan repayments worth over AED 94.8 million for 84 senior citizens, low-income retirees, and the families of deceased citizens. This initiative is part of the broader efforts to promote social stability and provide citizens with the resources they need for a secure and comfortable life.
Since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, the total value of housing benefits delivered to citizens has now surpassed AED 168.85 billion, supporting more than 123,000 Emiratis. The approval of this first housing package for 2025 comes just ahead of Eid Al Fitr, symbolising the leadership’s ongoing focus on development, social stability, and enhancing the well-being of Emirati families.
The Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, expressed deep gratitude to the leadership for their unwavering support. He highlighted how these measures directly address the people's aspirations and housing needs. He stressed that such initiatives not only improve the quality of life but also contribute to the social cohesion and stability of Abu Dhabi.
The Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, noted that the housing package is part of the broader vision to enhance living standards for Emirati families, ensuring their stability and well-being. He also highlighted the authority’s commitment to continuous development and improvement of housing programmes to align with the leadership's forward-thinking goals for a prosperous future.
This housing package is in line with the goals of the Year of Community initiative, emphasising the importance of adequate housing for building a stable and thriving society.
