The Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), responsible for approving and monitoring slum redevelopment projects across Maharashtra, is looking to purchase a new office space of around 20,000 sq ft near the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai’s most premium commercial district.
The SRA’s current office is located in Bandra East, adjacent to BKC. Officials stated that the authority is seeking a larger facility to accommodate its expanding operations.
As per the tender issued by the SRA, the proposed property must be situated within 1,000 metres of the existing office in Bandra East and should provide a carpet area of approximately 1,000 to 2,000 square metres (10,000–20,000 sq ft) on a single floor.
The SRA has also specified that the office should have 15 to 25 dedicated parking spaces for four-wheelers. The tender mentions a preference for buildings located on refuge floors or those with adjoining open areas, considering the heavy public footfall the authority handles.
The floor must be available for the exclusive use of the SRA, with all necessary permissions in place for commercial operations, the tender stated.
Additionally, the property must have a clear and marketable title, free of encumbrances, with all ownership documents in order. The building should also possess a valid structural stability certificate, and essential utilities such as water and electricity must be fully functional and comply with current building regulations.
