India among Top 10 Countries Generating Clean Energy

An independent climate think-tank Ember has released a report which suggests that the wind and solar energy now generates one-tenth of global electricity. According to the Ember global report, many key countries are now generating electricity from wind and solar. The ten countries where wind and solar power are thriving are –

• Germany | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 42 percent.
• United Kingdom | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 33 percent.
• European Union | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 21 percent.
• Australia | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 17 percent.
• Turkey | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 13 percent.
• United States | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 12 percent.
• China | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 10 percent.
• India | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 10 percent.
• Brazil | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 10 percent.
• Japan | Wind and solar power electricity generation: 10 percent
