A radical architectural proposal by New York-based Clouds Architecture Office envisions the world’s tallest building — suspended from an orbiting asteroid — capable of hovering over Dubai. Named Analemma Tower, this gravity-defying concept merges space technology with futuristic urban living.
The official website of Clouds Architecture Office has uploaded a likely blue print to show how the tower will be seen when hanging from the sky.
According to the website, “Analemma Tower inverts the traditional diagram of an earth-based foundation, instead depending on a space-based supporting foundation from which the tower is suspended. This system is referred to as the Universal Orbital Support System (UOSS), which is based on the principles of a conventional space elevator.”
The proposal is called as Analemma and will be constructed over Dubai.
“In order to achieve a suspended tower, Clouds AO would swap the orthodox diagram of an earth-based foundation for a space-based supporting foundation,” the firm stated in its concept release.
This proposal of the building has split the viewers into different perspectives. While some are excited for the project as it will be a revolution in the field of architecture and space. Others are asking not to think about the impossible.
