Mott MacDonald Teams up With World Economic Forum
Construction consultancy Mott MacDonald has joined the Energy, Materials and Infrastructure Platform of the World Economic Forum to help rethink urban planning, energy policy and the built environment for sustainability. “Through our work we’re involved in solving some of the world’s most urgent social, environmental, and economic challenges,” said Mike Haigh, Mott MacDonald executive chair. We know that addressing those challenges in ways that deliver sustainable and equitable outcomes requires collaboration on a global scale. That is why we are excited to play our part in helping the World Economic Forum amplify the best approaches across our industry.” The company will also be part of WEF’s Global Commission on BiodiverCities 2030, advising on integrating cities with nature. Haigh said: “Climate change impacts continue to pose a global threat and significant investment in climate resilience is needed to protect our communities. Only through strong public and private sector partnerships can we create opportunities for people and nature to thrive.”
