The Scroll of Honour from Realty plus is a positive acknowledgement of Omkar’s contribution towards responsible and qualitative development in Mumbai’s realty space. It’s definitely encouraging for me and the entire Omkar team. What are your biggest trends? a. Being a key player in successfully implementing the state government’s slum redevelopment policy. We have till now handed over approx. 9,000 plus quality rehab houses across Malad, Parel and Worli micro markets in Mumbai. This takes Omkar’s total rehabilitation figure to beyond 35,000 slum residents till now. b. On the other hand, it’s a privilege to introduce cutting edge construction technologies from abroad in our redevelopment and also sale projects. Our endeavor is to push the construction limits both qualitatively and timeline wise. How do you drive and motivate your team? By empowering them to strategise and implement tasks with their leadership talent. Omkar is a highly professional outfit with no dearth of expertise in all segments of real estate. I do work closely with the teams and have an open-door working policy. What has been the turning point of your career? While there are a couple of incidents, I would rate the trust factor earned amongst lakhs of slum residents and the investors community as high. What is the USP of your company? Our engagement process with our stakeholders and product offering is our USP. What is the advice you would like to give to upcoming and young developers? Professionalism would take you a long way.
