CREDAI MCHI Completes 374 Housing Projects during Covid – 19

CREDAI MCHI President, Deepak Goradia With the pandemic bringing the industry to a halt, coupled with the lack of migrant workers at construction sites, the entire real estate fraternity faced countless struggles to resume projects and keep afloat, financially. While the return of migrant workers has been steady in the last few months, CREDAI MCHI has ensured a swift return to construction work to alleviate any homebuyers’ fears of receiving possession of their homes on time. The industry body with over 1800+ member developers in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), has completed over 374 residential projects, underlining its continuous efforts to spearhead the revival of MMR realty after a severe slowdown amid Covid - 19. After navigating through the initial lockdown phases of the pandemic, CREDAI MCHI has taken a lead in recommencing realty development in MMR to aid the revival of not just the sector but also the Maharashtra economy at large. In the last 6 months, we’ve been able to complete close to 375 projects across Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Palghar and other Mumbai suburbs, and are looking to sustain this momentum and provide a strong platform for overall economic growth. Despite the innumerable challenges being faced by developers, this successful completion of ongoing projects further substantiates developers’ relentless approach towards meeting its commitment towards industry stakeholders, including and especially homebuyers.
