Where do you see the brand Casagrand in Mumbai in the coming years?
Arun Mn: We do have plans to come up with our projects in Mumbai and we have already started working on it. In fact, Maharashtra is in focus starting with Pune, followed by Mumbai, where we have plans to deliver homes by next year or so. One major challenge here is acquiring land which I think needs to be scrutinised well before hand. Once the land is available half the things are done. We do have a team working on this requirement of land by doing multiple level of filtering when it comes to finalising a specific location in Mumbai. However, challenges are meant to be faced and overcome and we are confident of making our presence felt in Mumbai.
Given your collaboration, what are the most important factors when it comes to real estate?
Sourav Ganguly: I think it should be the credibility, building trust and longevity. These three factors are important when it comes to doing a business, especially the business of real estate. Casagrand has already proved it in the industry and I am happy to be associated with the company.
How do you deal with the negative image of developers?
Scams exist in every city and industry and not just real estate or Mumbai. What we as a company do is keep transparency and ensure the projects are delivered on time. Out of the 141 projects we did 123 have been delivered on time and rest were affected due to the pandemic. So, in our case delivering projects to our customers without any malpractices is the ultimate priority.
What is your take on affordable housing?
Arun Mn: Yes, we do believe in providing affordable housing without compromising on quality standards. We have projects under Millennia which focuses on affordable housing. We have managed to build homes’ in ticket size Rs 25 to 40 lakhs under this project and have delivered 4000 homes in the southern market.
What is your idea of an ideal home?
Sourav Ganguly: For me it’s all about finishing work and heading to a place where you can sit on a sofa relax and go to bed and sleep and rest. This is the ideal home for me. It is also about the smile on your face when you are home. And I think, Casagrand has successfully made many people smile through their projects.
