How do you see the overall potential of the warehousing segment in the next few years in India?
With favourable government policies such as Gati Shakti, MMLPs, Digital India, and the PLI scheme, coupled with a push for improved infrastructure in terms of road, rail, and air, as well as technological advancements and growing investor interest, the warehousing industry is set to play a significant role in India's ambition to become the third-largest economy by 2027.
While the Indian warehousing Industry holds a lot of promise, what are the challenges that need to be addressed?
With the surge of e-commerce, the Make in India initiative, and the China plus one strategy, the warehousing industry is poised for substantial growth. However, it faces challenges such as standardization, technology adoption, regulatory bottlenecks, the need for quality infrastructure, and the availability of skilled manpower.
What have been the important developments for the Company in the recent years?
NDR is one of the premier developers of industrial and warehousing spaces, with a portfolio of 17 million square feet, and an additional 3 million square feet currently under development. NDR InvIT recently debuted on the NSE as a privately listed InvIT. With a nationwide presence, we cater to the warehousing needs of top multinational (MNCs) and Indian companies.
What is the Company’s future expansion goal?
With about 3 million square feet under development, the company is looking to grow both organic and inorganic. We are looking beyond tier cities and will spread our wings to tier 2 and 3 cities where we see demand. With the push for manufacturing and MNC’s policy of china plus one manufacturing we see a good demand coming from the manufacturing sector.
