Bandra Not SoBo Is The New Desired Address

Among Mumbai’s many suburbs, Bandra, with a captivating fusion of high-end residences, Bollywood glamour, and a touch of old-world charm, has always been an elite locality for HNIs & UHNIs to call it their home.

Recently, Bandra’s real estate market has witnessed several celebrity investments, with several stars splurging crores on high-end apartments. It is now giving a tough competition to South Mumbai neighborhoods of Worli, Mahalami, Malabar Hills etc. as the most desired address.

Bandra Big-Ticket Buys

Mumbai's upscale Bandra West area has witnessed a string of high-profile real estate purchases. The latest buys by singers Avadhoot Gupte and Rahul Vaidya of 7- 9 Crore are the most recent additions to the trend of luxury home purchases in the region.

Not too long ago, Deepika Padukone's KA Enterprises acquired a luxurious apartment for Rs 17.7 crore, while Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty bought a luxury apartment on Nargis Dutt Road for over Rs 20 crore.

Other notable buyers include Prithviraj Sukumaran's production house, which purchased a luxurious duplex apartment in Pali Hill for Rs 30.6 crore. Additionally, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has invested in Mumbai real estate, acquiring a residential property in Bandra suburbs for Rs 9.75 crore.

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and his son Ahan Shetty have made a stylish addition to their real estate portfolio, acquiring a luxurious property in Mumbai's upscale Khar West neighborhood for Rs 8.01 crore.

Also in a record-breaking deal, a luxurious triplex apartment in an under-construction Pali Hill tower was sold for a staggering Rs 172 crore, translating to Rs 1.81 lakh per sq ft. to Apco Infratech Pvt Ltd.

Owning A Piece Of History

The redevelopment of old societies into residential towers with sky villas and penthouses is changing the skyline of Bandra, Many film stars have sold their old bungalows here to be converted into luxury apartments such as Mala Sinha's Bandra bungalow that has been converted by builder Varun Kothari into a 22-storey tower called Palmera and most recently the former site of Dilip Kumar's bungalow in Bandra  has been take over by The Ashar Group turning it into a luxury residential project called "The Legend by Ashar".

The Bandra Charm

Bandra, also known as the "Queen of Suburbs," is a highly desirable location in Mumbai mostly because many Bollywood stars from Sharukh Khan to Salman Khan to yesteryear movie icons like Rekha and Kapoor Khandan reside here.

Add to it the stunning sea views, upscale boutiques, designer stores & restaurants & trendy cafes in by lanes of the original village of Khar-Danda, make it the perfect location for an upscale lifestyle.

Bandra's proximity to business districts like Bandra-Kurla Complex and South Mumbai via Sealink further make it a good choice for real estate investment.
