The Clarks Hotels & Resorts Group has introduced its latest offering, Amavi by Clarks, a new second-home brand focusing on design-led living in natural surroundings. Positioned as an alternative to traditional holiday homes, Amavi promotes a slower, more intentional lifestyle rooted in thoughtful hospitality and meaningful connection to the place.
The name ‘Amavi’ is drawn from Latin, meaning “I loved”, and reflects the brand’s belief that homes should offer more than shelter. They should provide space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect. Each location is set in a lesser-explored area, away from the rush of cities, but remains well-connected for ease of access. The concept is about curated leisure, not isolation.
The brand's first location, Mount Kusur, is a hilltop retreat in the Western Ghats, just over two hours from Mumbai. Above the Kusur Valley and lake, the development includes private villas with panoramic views and a clubhouse that brings together wellness, dining, and communal experiences. The design focuses on subtle luxury, with every detail intended to support a quieter, more grounded way of living.
Amavi by Clarks is part of The Clarks Hotels & Resorts Group, which operates in more than 110 destinations across India and Nepal. The brand brings the group's decades of experience into the private second-home sector, blending operational strength with a philosophy of understated care and seamless hospitality. The aim is to offer homes meant for living – not just short stays.
The venture is led by Sachin Agrawal, Founder and CEO, who has over 20 years of experience in real estate, and Bajrang Bararia, Co-founder and COO, an IIM Bangalore graduate with a real estate and consulting background. They bring a clear strategic vision and a strong operational foundation to the brand.
Following Mount Kusur, the second development, Amavi by Clarks at Lake Pawna, will soon open. This lakeside retreat is designed for longer stays, peaceful mornings, and quiet celebrations, continuing the brand’s focus on nature-led leisure.
