The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced multiple housing schemes aimed at supporting disadvantaged sections of society, including construction workers, women, ex-servicemen, and auto-rickshaw and cab drivers.
The DDA has approved a 25% discount on flats located in Narela, Siraspur, and Loknayak Puram under its Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024 and Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024.
Narela (Sector G2): Approximately 700 EWS flats are available with a 25% discount. Siraspur (LIG) and Loknayak Puram (LIG): 25% of flats will be reserved for eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Loknayak Puram (MIG): 10% of flats will also be offered under the scheme.
The authority has also approved the launch of the DDA Special Housing Scheme 2025, which will feature 110 flats in prime locations such as Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Rohini, Ashoka Pahari, and Jahangirpuri. Flat Categories: 7 HIG, 58 MIG, and 45 LIG flats.
Flats in Vasant Kunj will be offered through an e-auction, while others will follow a first-come, first-served basis. The authority approved converting 4.63 hectares of railway land in Shakurbasti from transportation to residential use. Updated guidelines for disposing of EWS units developed by private entities have been approved. These new schemes and approvals aim to enhance affordable housing options and improve urban infrastructure in the national capital, benefitting thousands of residents.
