Delhi Development Authority is planning to develop five more sectors under its ‘Land Pooling Policy. In May, DDA had issued a provisional notice for the formation of a consortium for three sectors in north and northwest Delhi, which are expected to accommodate a population of 2.5 to 3 lakh.
While DDA is carrying out public meetings at areas where the sectors are earmarked to come up for answering queries and clearing doubts of landowners, it is also planning to issue provisional notices for the formation of consortiums in five sectors.
These sectors are 1, 7, and 8 in P-II Zone in north Delhi; 11 in N Zone in northwest Delhi, and 3 in L Zone in southwest Delhi. Each sector is anticipated to accommodate 80,000 to 1 lakh people.
