The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has directed the developers of Greenopolis, a group housing project in Sector 89, to submit a phase-wise timeline for completion of the township. The directive came on Tuesday in the wake of a series of complaints filed by homebuyers, who are upset over the prolonged delay in possession of their flats.
The project is spread over 47 acres and is being jointly developed by Orris Infrastructure and The 3C company. It was launched in 2011 with a 2015 deadline. However, work has stopped at the site for the last two years and buyers are not sure when they will get their flats. The project has 2,317 housing units.
Investors have alleged that out of the 28 towers, only four towers were near completion. Many investors have already paid around 90% of the cost.
