Fortune 500 companies like Sify Infinit Spaces Limited and Jackson Limited are set to build a data centre park in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area.
On behalf of YEIDA, both the companies have been allotted plots with an area spanning 20,000 square meters for the data centre park in Sector 28. An investment of Rs 1757.45 crore and employment generation for 775 people is proposed on the allotted plots.
YEIDA recently initiated the planning of industrial plots designated for data centres. Under this scheme, there were five vacant plots available, comprising one plot measuring 1,25,660 square meters (D-1), another plot measuring 40,000 square meters (D-8), and three plots measuring 20,000 square meters each (D-4, D-9, D-10). A total of three applications were received for these five plots.
A meeting of the allotment committee was convened in the hall, during which the committee thoroughly reviewed all three applications and allocated the plots based on the merits of the projects presented.
