Harnandipuram Housing scheme is set to be launched soon, as Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has given nod to the procurement of land from farmers by paying four times more than the circle rate in its 169th board meeting.
This land falls in five villages of Ghaziabad. The authority will spend Rs 2384 crore on this. Farmers will also be given 10 per cent of the developed plots on the land acquired for the project.
The 169th board meeting of GDA was held under the chairmanship of GDA Chairman and Divisional Commissioner Rishikesh Bhaskar Yashod. As per GDA Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, a committee was constituted under the chairmanship of DM to decide on land rates for Harnandipuram.
The circle rate of the district was revised in September 2024 last year. The villages where land acquisition will happen include Mathurapur, Shamsher, Champatnagar, Bhanera-Khurd and Nangla Firoz Mohanpur.
