Havells Presents Spotlight organized by Realty+ Masterclass on April 16 had the multi award winning lighting designer from UK, Florence Lam, Arup Fellow and Lead - Global Lighting Design practice to explain how right quantity and colour of light has a profound impact on human wellbeing. In her presentation, she gave examples of her projects and the way artificial light was used to not only bring wellness aspect to a space but also to set the context of a building or highlight the purpose of a space or a structure. She elaborated on the ways to use interior lighting to increase productivity, decrease fatigue and in present times how to use daylight while working from home. Parag Bhatnagar, SBU Head & Executive Vice President, Havells India Ltd., a veteran of over 25+ years across reputed FMCG and FMEG companies briefed on how manufacturers are addressing the lack of awareness about human centric lighting among consumers. According to him there was only 105 penetration of such products in the Indian market, the main reasons being cost and lack of understanding of such products. The session concluded with speakers emphasizing that such knowledge sharing platforms not only create a larger awareness amongst the consumer but also bring designers, consultants, manufactures together to design and deliver a complete solution. The event ended with a thank you note from Realty+ to both the speakers and the Havells India for presenting the conference.
