MIDC to act tough against commercial use of industrial plots in Nashik

In a move to avoid the use of industrial land for commercial purposes, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has decided to act tough against the offenders.

The Corporation has already identified around seven establishments at Satpur and Ambad industrial estates where industrial land has been put under commercial use. The authority is in process of sending legal notices to these commercial establishments.

In August, MIDC had taken action against those who had not developed the industrial plots over years. As many as 22 plots had been taken back as they were not developed by the entrepreneurs within a given time period. 12 plots were taken back from Satpur, Ambad and Sinnar areas of Nashik district and 10 from MIDC areas in Ahmadnagar district.
